Product Recomendation
For maximum results, clients must purchase Intesive Recovery Cream. Cream should be used twice a day between treatments. Contains a blend of ingredients to reduce sensitivity in the skin, increase moisture levels and protect against environmental damage. Specially formulated to reduce irritation associated with the use of Hydroxy Acids, Retinoids, and other highly active treatment products.

How it Works
During the PlasmaPen™ treatment, the energy collects on the surface of the barrier, and ionized plasma gas is safely released from about 1mm above the skin. This transfers to the epidermal layer of the skin to create superficial trauma and plasma fibroblasts. “Neoepithelialisation” (the formation of new epithelial tissue) becomes visible as tiny carbon crusts that desquamate (flake off) within the framework of aftercare. This occurs rapidly after a PlasmaPen™ treatment and is usually complete 3 to 7 days postprocedure. These carbon crusts serve as a natural and protective biological dressing and flake off naturally as the newly formed and rejuvenated “neoepidermis” appears. But that is not the end, over the next 12 weeks extensive dermal remodeling begins. Here is where your skin continues to tighten and rejuvenate as cross-linking between collagen and elastin fibrils and the reversal of elastotic change (the premature degeneration of dermal elastic tissue) occurs.

What to Expect
The PlasmaPen™ treatment can be used to treat skin laxity, sagging skin, fine lines and deeper wrinkles, crow’s feet, smile lines, lines on the forehead, sagging jowls, marionette lines, sagging necks, smoker’s lines around the mouth and lines due to other environmental damage.
The number of treatments needed depends on each patient’s skin condition and the desired areas and degree of improvement. For many clients, 2 procedures will generate the results that they want. With the PlasmaPen™ Skin Tightening treatment, the results of multiple treatments are accumulative and increase with each treatment. We recommend waiting a period of 8 to 12 weeks between each treatment.
We start by removing contacts (if the treatment is on your eyes) and cleaning your face. Then we will apply a local numbing agent to the treated area (this takes about 45 min). Then we will start creating small micro-traumas and micro-crusts will quickly form over the treated areas (looks like scabbed dots). Over the next 5-7 days the dots will start peeling off. It is important to not pull them or exfoliate them at this time, they need to fall off naturally. You must NOT wear any makeup during this time or have any sun exposure or use hot tubs, hot yoga, or suna. On average, it takes 5 days for the dots to fall off however you will immediately notice a difference in your skin due to increased fibroblast activity and new collagen that is generated and you will continue to notice improvements over the next three months and results are reported to last a few years.
